When I was a young girl I went to Catholic school and we were permitted to walk home for lunch. On Fridays, Mom would give us a few coins and let us run over to the local fish place for lunch on Fridays. Can you imagine that happening today? Fish Fridays. Pretty special times.
Fyi - I've left an award for you over at my place. :)Jaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06694559900539722616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7041802843110274347.post-18268761101217626382011-04-29T16:04:58.991-04:002011-04-29T16:04:58.991-04:00I really like the reminder that we don't know ...I really like the reminder that we don't know how many Fridays we have.

Did you take the picture? It sure makes me hungry. I like fish, always have.

Cooking fish under the broiler is healthy and quick. Sometimes I add milk and herbs to my rice cooker and put fish in and poach it. Turns out great.CiCihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08615265608675467505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7041802843110274347.post-42210521660198868072011-04-29T15:15:57.185-04:002011-04-29T15:15:57.185-04:00Ahhhh...Cricket! I tell people at church dinners that all the time when they ask about certain casseroles or a dessert I may have brought to the event. If a recipe doesn't hold to my theory about cooking, very rarely is it going to go out with me to a public place! The fish sounds really good and I'd never have thought of marinating it is a dabble of mayo first. That definitely appealed to me -as did the veggies too. Thankfully, my grandkids (and their mother) who live with me, will all eat -and relish doing so too -fish! Since we already had mac'n'cheese this week -their favorite food with virtually anything -they might have to slog their way through a bit of potatoes.Jenihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16425701332785470116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7041802843110274347.post-73278553033532235982011-04-29T09:19:24.784-04:002011-04-29T09:19:24.784-04:00I cook the same way.Once during college a roomate ...I cook the same way.Once during college a roomate asked his grandmother for recipes. What he forgot was the language barrier she still percieved and recieved all in Italian.I shall sit some fish down for dinner, mine are trout.Out on the prairiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09548162534362532705noreply@blogger.com
